Most walk-in tubs on the market feature a small hatch in the side for installers to access and service the electrical components, but an opening so small offers little room to maneuver, especially if the toilet is located right in front of the area. #TheraTub had this in mind when designing their front panel, which spans the entire height and length of the tub and is easily removable. This gives installers unimpeded access to the electrical components on one end and the faucets on the other. It is then reattached with ease, as seen with this service in Boca Raton, FL.
TheraTub is a small enough company that we can spend the time to masterfully craft each of our walk-in tubs, and keep our cost low enough so that a customer doesn't feel like they're buying a new car. Being a smaller company, it's not guaranteed that we'll make it onto every review site for walk-in bathtubs, but when we do we're #1 in terms of customer attention, quality, and cost. The site walkinbathtubcomparisons.com gives reviews of 11 products offered by leading walk-in tub companies. TheraTub tops the list with the #1 spot! This is their review for us:
"TheraTub's unique frameless build allows an industry safe 0-2" step in height. This design also allows for both installs and repairs to be much easier, more cost effective and less time intensive. The fiberglass they use is about 3x thicker than other fiberglass made walk-ins and they use an ample coating of their sanitary, bacteria resistant gel coat. This coating also assists in easier cleaning and gives their tub a high-gloss shine. TheraTub offers many customizable models as well as a unique two seater. They have the only completely certified walk-in tub Made in the USA and their product is manufactured in Georgia. When we asked this company for their references they provided many, we verified and their references each had glowing praise about every stage of the process; to be noted is the fact that most companies we asked for references from declined our request. TheraTub doesn't require the typical, pushy salesman to come into your home to give a quote and we like that they offer many extras at no cost like the pillow, 3 custom grab bars and cushion. Because of their strong focus on customer care, high-quality design/material usage and unusually low cost, we now have TheraTub as our current top rated walk-in company."
Here are pictures from TheraTub's most recent installation in Los Alamos, New Mexico. From what we heard from the installer, the removal of the old tub was more difficult than the installation of the new tub!
The customer had a very old, very sturdy tub. By sturdy, we mean thick. This can be tricky because our installers have to slice the old tub in half in order to remove it, so it took quite a bit of effort to cut this one.
Because this tub was so old, there was quite a bit of dirt that had collected underneath; Our installer said three wheelbarrows worth. This is of course no fault of the customer, and we're willing to do whatever it takes to make the installation work and for the customer to have peace of mind when the installer steps out the door.
Here is #TheraTub's latest installation in Hereford, AZ! Despite originally ordering our fiberglass wall-surround, the customer later opted to keep the existing tile, which the installer spruced up to look good as new.
If you've been considering a walk-in tub, but you really want to transform the bath space and make it look polished, you might consider one of TheraTub's sleek wall surrounds to complete the look! The panels, made from the same marine-grade fiberglass as our tubs, are styled to look like tile, but are far easier to trim and install, and won't leave you with discolored grout in the years to come.
Here is #TheraTub's newest installation in Brandon, FL! We were able to get a few shots of the underside of the tub, including our friction heater, which keeps the water from cooling down throughout the course of the bath!
Everyone gets mesmerized by time-lapse videos, so have a staring contest with this one! #TheraTub installers putting in a new walk-in tub in under a day. They're not just posing for the camera either. Every installation comes out just as clean and beautiful! Highlights include the sawing in half and removal of the old tub, carefully removing the door frame to move in the new tub, and putting on the front panel, bringing the look all together!
TheraTub posted this last month, but we thought it was worth sharing again for any who missed it. This is a video review from a recent customer. In it, he highlights several features of our tubs and warns against the high pressure sales tactics of other walk-in tub companies, which we hear about far too often.

TheraTub got a surprise review from a recent customer in Rhode Island in the form of a video. In it, he highlights several features of our tubs and warns against the high pressure sales tactics of other walk-in tub companies, which we hear about far too often.
These are pictures sent to us from a customer who opted to self-install in Colorado. They also chose not to use our faucets, but instead go with their own Venetian bronze fixtures to match the rest of their remodeled fixtures. Many of our customers choose to have their own contractor install their walk-in tub, which is fine by us, and actually comes with a sizeable discount, up to 20% in some cases. TheraTub wants your walk-in tub to fit in with your bathroom environment, not overwhelm it. While we offer faucets, installation, wall-surrounds, aromatherapy, and the like, but we want you to feel free to either use them or order the tub only. Whatever you feel gives you the most control and, ultimately, comfort, in your bath space.

"There is a lot that goes into this process, which is why it takes time. Not to mention, the more a Veteran is seeking from VA the longer the process is going to be." Food for thought, especially for young veterans. Filing My VA Claim
A review from Carol in FL: "Jay, who came to my house, was polite and knowledgeable. He informed me that with a doctor's note, the cost of the tub was completely tax deductibe. Then installers were equally outstanding. When I panicked at seeing the first stage of installation, they assured me that I'd neve know such a mess existed. And boy, were they right! Within less than five hours, my new tub wa completely installed and the house all back to normal. And I do love my new TheraTub. (And it was over $1,000 less than the other two companies I met with prior to ordering my TheraTub). Thanks to all of you."
